A Fantastic Acupuncture & Massage Clinic in Monterey
I had the pleasure of getting a “behind-the-scenes” view at the wonderful Optimal Health Acupuncture and Bodywork clinic at 132 Carmelito Avenue in Monterey. I got to photograph patrons receiving massage, hot stone massage, acupuncture with heated needles and without, and a procedure called “cupping” which you will see below. The clinic in itself is a really pleasant and soothing place to visit and owners Glenn and Melissa are great people. They are both so knowledgeable and easy-going. I’m really looking forward to getting some treatments done there! They are currently in the process of revamping their website, and I will update this post when the new site is up. In the meantime you can reach them at 831-655-3208 for services.
Mini Show & Mini Sessions at Sweet Child of Mine!
I am happy to announce that I have a selection of photographs on display at Sweet Child of Mine children’s boutique, as well as an upcoming event. Sweet Child of Mine owners Doreen and her husband Avner have generously offered to host my first “Photo Days” event. This Friday and Saturday June 4th & 5th from 10:30 to 12:30 I’ll be giving free 10-minute mini-sessions for kids and babies. After your session, photos will be available for private viewing and purchase in my online proofing gallery where you can peruse the many great offerings such as fine art prints, canvas, and other products.
I’m so excited and have been looking forward to doing this for a while. I am asking those interested to reserve a space so that I have enough time to spend with each subject. There are still a few spaces left, but the schedule is filling up fast- so if you would like to bring your child in for portraits, have a look at my display, and check out the fantastic pre-loved and new kids clothes at Sweet Child of Mine (299 Webster Street, Monterey) call or email me soon! Beer, Beautiful, Beer!
Monterey Coast Brewing not only brews their own beers, they also have a friendly staff, serve delicious food and they have a nice banquet room in the back of the restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and family-friendly, yet still a great place to hang out with friends and have a locally brewed beer- my favorite? The sampler- a set of seven distinctly different flavors all in a row, so I don’t have to decide. Monterey Coast Brewing is located at 165 Main Street in Salinas, near the Steinbeck Center.
From the Archives
Recently I’ve begun handing out the postcard shown above. (And with it the introduction of a “Pricing” section on this website.) On the card I’ve included a photo from a wedding I photographed a few years ago. I’ve always loved the photo and when I created my card I wanted it to represent the budding wedding photography element of my business. The lovely couple, and friends of mine, Russ and Donna, were kind enough to let me share this photo and a few other favorites from their day. They were married in a Buddhist ceremony in the chapel on the beautiful and historic Asilomar conference grounds in Pacific Grove, just a short board-walk from the beach.
